The prepositional case is used with prepositions such as "о" (about), "в" (in), "на" (at), and При (with or at). Masculine nouns in the prepositional case usually end in "e", but sometimes they end in "y". For feminine nouns it may be "e" or "и" and neuters are the same. Plural prepositional nouns end "ах" or "ях".
Nominative singular - Prepositional singular:
стол - столе
дождь - дожде
кошка - кошке
кот - коте
доклад - докладе
книга - книге
здание - здании

Prepositional singular - Prepositional plural:
месте - местах
поле - полях
книге - книгах
дом - домах

PHRASES:
Он ошибся в докладе.
(He made a mistake in his report.)

Спортсмен даже спал в кроссовках.
(The athlete even slept in his sneakers.)

В десяти километрах отсюда находится вокзал.
(A station is located ten kilometers from here.)

Она была в розовом шёлковом платьем.
(She was wearing a pink silk dress.)

В полях есть деревья.
(There are trees in the fields.)

При доме есть гараж.
(The garage comes with the house.)
