- Keep in mind that although these letters look similar to letters from
the English alphabet, they do not make the same sounds. This may be
confusing and interfere with the learning of these letters from the Russian
alphabet. This is just an example of one of the ways that Russian is a
somewhat difficult language for English speakers to learn.
